Brownies like chocolate chip cookies is a timeless recipe that delights everyone. Whenever there is an event where guests sign up to bring a dish, these two desserts are always part of the line up. They never get old. No one every says no more brownies.
One thing I have always failed at when experimenting with brownies is putting gummy bears in them. Add chocolate chips for a double douce of chocolate is my go too but gummy bears would be fun if I can master doing it right. Do you know how to add gummy bears to brownies? Add in the comments so I can try it.
Ingredients:
1cup of sugar
2 large eggs
3/4 cup of flour
1/2 cup of powdered sugar
2/3 cup of cocoa powder
1/2 cup of chocolate chips
3/4 tsp of salt
2/3 cup of butter
2 tbsp of water
1/2 tsp of vanilla
Steps:
Preheat oven to 325°.
Lightly spray a baking dish. Recommend using an 8x8 glass baking dish.
Sift flour, cocoa powder, and powdered sugar into a mixing bowl.
Add sugar, salt and chocolate chips into the mixing bowl.
Using a separate mixing bowl whisk egg, butter, water and vanilla.
Slowly add dry ingredients over the wet ingredients and mix together until completely combined.
Pour into lightly sprayed baking dishing using a spatula to smooth the top.
Bake for 40 minutes.
Using a butter knife or toothpick stick into the middle of the brownie. When you pull the butter knife or toothpick from the brownie and it comes away with only a few crumbs or no wet mixture your brownies are done.
Let sit and cool for 2 hours.
Which chocolate chips do you like to add dark chocolate or milk chocolate? Drop your answers in the comments.
I hope you enjoy this classic recipe.
